He began playing guitar after being fascinated with artists like Stevie Wonder, George Benson and Herbie Hancock - all of who had an impact on how young Turra discovered music. In 2018 this passion led him into starting JMT, a musical project which explores R&B, funk sounds combined together seamlessly within jazz standards and released two original songs such as his first single "No Way Back."
Giacomo's Instagram account became an online showcase for his guitar skills in March of 2020. He began posting video performances there, and by April, he had gained over 100,000 followers including artists like Sean Ono Lennon, Bootsy Collins and even band members from Jamiroquai among others.
