Signed to Epitaph Records on the back of it, Gallows reissued their debut album there with three extra tracks, including a cover of Black Flag's Nervous Breakdown. They got their first UK hit single with a cover of The Ruts' Staring At The Rude Bois, which featured in the Jim Carrey movie Yes Man.
Planning "the heaviest album we've ever heard", the band released second album Grey Britain in 2009, commenting on the depressed state of the UK and including guest appearances by Simon Neil of Biffy Clyro and members of Rolo Tomassi and Cancer Bats.
