Portland, Oregon-based Fruition was formed in 2008 by three singer-songwriters who moved to the area from various parts of the country. The original three were Jay Cobb Anderson (vocals, lead guitar and harmonica), Kellen Asebroek (vocals, rhythm guitar and piano), and Mimi Naja (vocals, mandolin, electric and acoustic guitar). They then added Jeff Leonard on bass guitar and Tyler Thompson on drums and banjo to complete the quintet. Their first recording, an EP titled Hawthorne Hoedown, was rootsy and string-based, and their first full-length album, out in 2010 was called Fruition, which showed more of a rock influence. That album had a sound familiar to Greensky Bluegrass, Railroad Earth, Lake Street Dive, Edward Sharpe and the Lumineers.

Fruition has been the opening act for the Wood Brothers, Greensky Bluegrass and Jack Johnson, have toured with Elephant Revival, Railroad Earth, ALO, Infamous Stringdusters, Leftover Salmon and The Head and The Heart, and have appeared at festivals including Telluride Bluegrass, Bonnaroo, DelFest, Jamcruise and High Sierra Music Festival. That extent of touring experience has increasingly reshaped Fruition and has allowed them to attain a sound they’ve long pursued. Have a rollicking music experience with Fruition tickets today.
