Negron is part of a new movement of performers who blend salsa with pop, rock, gospel and other elements to create a new sound, along with performers such as Charlie Cruz, Huey Dunbar, Obie Bermudez and Kevin Ceballo.

Negron went to Newark Arts High School, where he was a member of the R&B vocal ensemble Base Harmony along with Kwhan Jamond, Bobby Bright, Sean Pulley and Dionte Sutton. While with the group Negron performed in front of the New Jersey Senate.

He has released more than seven albums as well as a compilation and many singles. Negron is also an actor.  He was given a supporting role in the Broadway musical The Capeman by Paul Simon. He also starred in the independent 2000 film Boricua’s Bond, portraying a struggling artist in the South Bronx. He has had multiple albums go gold and more than five singles have been top 40 Hot Latin Tracks.
