In 1979 the pair released the singer’s self-titled debut album, which contained her hit “Come to Me.” 

Joli became a star overnight. “Come to Me” reached the top of Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Play chart, with the album as a whole making the top 30 on the Billboard Hot 100. On the back of this success, the singer moved to the larger and more mainstream label Epic Records. Joli released several charting hits through the label including “Touch,” “Does He Dance” and “Girl in the 80’s.” The artist has been featured in multiple music documentaries, most notably When Ocean Meets Sky and 54.
