The former went to number four on the Hip-Hop Songs Chart and number 14 on the Hot 100 while the latter, backed by Dead Presidents, reached number four on the Hip-Hop Chart and number 17 on the Hip-Hop Songs Chart. The Foxy Brown and Jay Z single 'I'll Be' from her 'Ill Na Na' album reached number five on the Rap Singles Chart and number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1997.

In 2007, she was given a 12-month prison sentence for violating parole following an altercation with two manicurists in New York. In 2008, her album 'Brooklyn's Don Diva' went to number two on the Rap Albums Chart. In 2017, she announced that she had given birth to a daughter.
