The Stockholm duo was brought up in a musical family and got their break when they recorded a version of Fleet Foxes' 'Tiger Mountain Peasant Song', posted it to YouTube and soon had over three million hits. Their debut album 'The Big Black & The Blue' (2010) won a heap of praise from charmed critics and they went on to tour with Jack White and record a cover of 'Universal Soldier' for his label Third Man Records.
Follow-up 'Lion's Roar' (2012) produced their best-known track 'Emmylou' and their dueling harmonies and hazy 1960s pop melodies earned comparisons with Fleetwood Mac, The Carter Family and Joni Mitchell. They were awarded the Nordic Music Prize, four Swedish Grammis Awards and became a fixture at all the major festivals before returning in 2014 with acclaimed third album 'Stay Gold', which reached number eleven in the UK Charts.
Furthering their awareness and appeal they began to tour in the US and the UK with appearances at the Isle of Wight Festival, Forecastle Festival in Kentucky and Osheaga Festival in Quebec. They hit pause on their touring in late 2015 as they started work on their next record. Their fourth album 'Ruins' was released in January 2018.
