While still in college, Felner released his mixtape, Waking Up to Sirens, which went viral, and saw Felner enjoy his first serious exposure. He began opening for high-profile hip-hop artists like Madlib, and in 2015 released his hit single “7th King.” Two years later, Felner formed the rap group Mermaid Gang with fellow artists Gyyps and Trip Carter, and toured with the group while continuing to release several solo singles. The summer of 2017 Felner released his first studio album Wild Strawberries through the Cinematic Music Group label. Wild Strawberries included features by the members of Mermaid Gang as well as artists like Konshens from outside the hip hop genre.
