Norman Quentin Cook (born Quentin Leo Cook) has gone by the stage name Fatboy Slim since his career took off in the 1990s. He is an English DJ, musician, and record producer. Fatboy Slim’s lengthy professional career began in the 1980s when he was a bassist for an indie rock band, The Housemartins, who achieved a UK number one single with their cover “Caravan of Love.” After that band split, he formed his electronic band, Beats International and produced another number one single titled “Dub Be Good To Me.” He played in a variety of other bands, including Freak Power, Pizza Man and Mighty Dub Katz. His band experiences allowed him to showcase his extensive instrumental talents with keyboard, guitar, bass, drums, and turntables.
