Exes Tickets
Exes Concert Tickets
Hear this indie-pop band live only with Exes tickets. This duo is Allie McDonald and Mike Derenzo. McDonald grew up around music, her mother was a piano teacher, she took violin lessons in fourth grade, and then taught herself guitar in high school. Derenzo also played piano and guitar, but it was a high school music tech class that opened this eye to the world of digital music. The two met in college, and post-graduation started making music together. They dropped their first EP in 2016 The Art of Saying Goodbye with the singles “Twentythousand” and “18”. They continued to release occasional singles every few months till their first full-length album in 2018 Before You Go. In 2019 they published three EPs Nothing’s Out to Get You, A Few Stories and Once More, with Feeling. 2020 saw the release of Nothing Ever Ends, another EP, and the band continues to release singles like “Clapping on the TV” and “It Was Supposed to be Us”.
Exes is a pop band all about capturing the nostalgia of youth and a romantic view of the past. Derenzo’s pop-indie sound fits with McDonald’s relatable sentimentality to create a musical world it’s easy to get lost in. And while their sound matures through their many solid single and EP releases, that melancholic post-youth nostalgic feel remains to carry the audience back but you can only see this sensation live with Exes tickets.
