A reference to the television show X-Files, the group was able to sign with RCA while still known as Eleventeen and attending high school. In 1998 the band released their debut self-titled album Eve 6 which helped them instantaneously push towards the mainstream with hit singles like “Inside Out”.

The band would reform again in 2007 though they wouldn’t release another album until 2012’s Speak in Code.
