She went on to attend and study at the prestigious Yonsei University where was taught by professor Seung-Han Choi who encouraged her to pursue conducting. She went on to perform for the first time in the United States in 2017 with the Houston Grand Opera, following which the HGO named her the next principal guest conductor as of 2019.
