Dr. Ron Hufstader with a few other band directors started the El Paso Winds in 1995. Ron Hufstader has worked as the Chairman of the Music department as well as the Director of Bands at the University of Texas at El Paso. Hufstader also is the Director of Instrumental Studies at the university.
