He began DJing as a teenager, releasing his debut mixtape in 2011, Hip House. The mixtape featured Fatman Scoop and Meek Mill and quickly made Spinking an artist to watch. Hip House 2 featured French Montana and Jeremih, and contained Spinking’s hit single “Body Operator.” By the end of that year, he had signed to eOne Records, marking a meteoric rise to fame usually reserved for rappers, not producers.
In 2014 Spinking collaborated with star artists Tyga and A$AP Ferg on the single “Adult Swim,” which was a runaway success. On the heels of the exposure, the DJ released his mixtape For the Culture, which featured rap legends 50 Cent, Fetty Wap and Torey Lanez. He has since collaborated with a slew of stars, most notably A Boogie and Tekashi 6ix9ine. His 2017 single with A Boogie, “Timeless,” was certified platinum.
