With a bachelor’s degree in Music from the Berklee College of Music JD uses his classical training to create and mix music unlike any other DJ on the scene today. He has released a variety of Mix albums, the first two were in 2008 and 2009, before the boom in EDM music, Shrine’s I Love Tuesdays Vol 1. & 2. He released The Dub Days of Winter in 2011 and a live album at the Shrine in 2019. His latest album is MikiDz Radio which was released in 2021. JD is the resident DJ at the Shrine nightclub. Located in Mashantucket, Conn., this premiere location has consistently ranked in the top 30 of Nightclub & Bar’s most prestigious destinations in the United States.
In addition to his classically influenced beats, DJ JD hosts the video blog and podcast Remix Report, with DJ Jay Spring, all about the various aspect of DJing, including tips, tricks, remixes, playlists, interviews, editorials, and other creative ideas for the premier nightclub art. Audiences can hear all this and more with DJ JD tickets. JD also teaches a five-week summer program, with his mentor Stephen Webber, and through Berklee, about turntable techniques.
