The group's eclectic sound has been compared to the likes of Radiohead and Beck. Divino Niño was born out of an American/Colombian fusion musical collaboration between singer Camilo Medina, bassist Javier Forero, guitar-picking Guillermo Rodriguez-Torres and percussionist Pierce Codina. The four have created dark yet catchy songs often characterized by surrealistic imagery which can be found on stages all over Chicago.
During their childhood in Bogotá, Colombia, Medina and Forero were friends who reconnected during middle school in Miami. The two made their way to Chicago where they met up with Guillermo Rodriguez-Torres and Pierce Codina and discovered the sounds of The Beatles and Beach Boys, which influenced their genre-bending songs that pay homage to the 1960s and 1970s. This multi-faceted collaboration released two mixtapes called Pool Jealousy and The Shady Sexyfornia Tapes.

Their debut album Foam, which was released on June 21, 2019, plays on their journey through the beautiful Miami beaches to the urban alleyways of Chicago mixed in with their Latin roots of Bogota, Columbia. This sound is blended with the exploration of retro to futuristic beats. Every song is sweet and brightly colored for every acid enthusiast. The album received a staggering 7.5 from Pitchfork magazine.
