Dirty Honey is a rock band from Los Angeles that formed in 2017 from a chance encounter between lead singer Marc Labelle and guitarist John Notto who quickly formed a friendship after a couple of impromptu gigs at a bar in Los Angeles and later on the sidewalk of Sunset Boulevard. After playing together the two decided they should form a band and recruited bassist Justin Smolian and drummer Corey Coverstone.
The band’s first break came when their manager heard their song “When I’m Gone” and began booking them to open for Slash in 2018. Soon after that, Dirty Honey ticket sales began to heat up. As their popularity grew, the band began to tour more frequently, opening for other groups. In 2019, while in Australia, they recorded their debut self-titled EP which was being played on the radio within hours of its release. This catapulted the band into stardom and they began touring with and opening for acts like Red Sun Rising, The Who and Guns N’ Roses.
Today, the band continues to tour both nationally and internationally, giving their fans the Dirty Honey sound they love so much. Although Dirty Honey is the only EP they’ve released to date, singles from that project like “When I’m Gone” and “Rolling 7’s” have both peaked in the top 5 on the U.S. Billboard charts while other fan favorites like “Fire Away” are quickly climbing.
