Built around the idea of family bonds, Desert Hearts lives and breathes because of the spirit and inspiration of its founders, who became skate and surf buddies in San Diego, Calif. The colorful crew comes from various backgrounds, but they promote their message of love, togetherness and community. Since that is their priority, they have limited the festival's size so as not to lose the intimacy that is the foundation of their organization. In 2014, Desert Hearts Records was launched as a completely free record label that gives a platform for up-and-coming talent around the world.
