Curry began his road to hip hop by writing poetry at an early age and began writing raps in the sixth grade. During high school, Curry began to meet at a local boys and girls club where he learned the techniques of rap battling. Curry attended Miami Carol City Senior High School where he worked on his first mixtape King of the Mischievous South Vol. 1. while in class. In 2011 Curry released his first work influenced by underground Florida rapper SpaceGhostPurrp, the mixtape was shared by Purrp’s social media, giving Curry a surge of local attention and resulted in him joining Purrp’s hip hop group Raider Klan.
Once the collective was disbanded in 2013 Curry began his career as a solo artist with the release of his first full-length album titled Nostalgic 64 with features from other local artists such as Lil Ugly Mane, Robb Bank$ and Yung Simmie. Along with production from Deniro Farrar and Dillon Cooper. While on the radio show Triple J in Australia Curry performed a cover of “Bulls on Parade'' by Rage Against the Machine which was met with much acclaim expanding his fanbase even further.
Soon after his appearance on the radio show Curry released the single “Speedboat” which charted and was the leading single for his album Zulu which led to his television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon performing “Ricky” and “Wish” from the Zulu album. While on the show Curry opened up about his brother who died after being wrongly identified by police and tasered which led to his participation in criminal justice reform using his platform to spread awareness and hope.
