Dennis made his first hit as a musician by being a part of the Chicago rock and roll band invasion in the late 60s. He became the lead singer of the sunshine pop band The Buckinghams, a band that was formed out of two others.
The Buckinghams hit it big throughout the 60s, charting five different hits on Billboard’s Hot 100. Tufano followed up his success with the band by becoming a duo with guitarist Carl Giammarese, who played for the band. Tufano has also appeared as a guest vocalist, co-writing music with Tom Scott, a renowned musician and composer. Tufano also appeared in theater productions as an actor, stuntman, and voiceover artist. He toured with Olivia Newton-John, singing multiple duets with her that were featured on her HBO Special.
