The band was formed when Jonathan Jameson and Brandon Young, who had played frequently together on different cover bands, decided to form a band together. The first EP of the band was I Think I’ve Found It and was recorded in Kelly Winrich’s home studio. The EP was released by Monarchy Music in 2006.
The first album was recorded in the Adirondack mountains, in a cabin. It was called Ode to Sunshine and released independently in 2007. A new version was released with a new cover and a new version of the track “Streetwalker” by Rounder Records on August 26, 2008. The cover featured Kelly Winrich’s great-uncle, Dr. Thomas Payne, on the cover.
