Enjoy the strains of classical music in a symphonic concert or film showing with Daytona Philharmonic Orchestra tickets. The Daytona Philharmonic Orchestra was formed by the Daytona Beach Symphony Society in 1952 by a small group of volunteers and classical music fans. The group was inspired by Julius Davidson, the late publisher of Daytona Beach News-Journal, who believed that the community needed to do more to promote musical works and foster the development of young musicians. The Daytona Beach Symphony Society guild would be created in 1955, with a mission to make the society known through numerous social gatherings and fundraisers.

The Daytona Philharmonic Orchestra’s original three-concert season grew to accommodate a six-concert series by the 1960s. As it became more popular the Symphony Society expanded its programming in the 1980s and organized events with some of the best regional and international orchestras. The society would later develop the Youth Experiencing Symphony (YES!) Program in 1996. This allowed the Daytona Philharmonic Orchestra to put on free concerts for thousands of students each year. Some of the organizations invited to host events include the Royal National Ballet and the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine.
