Enjoy an alternative rock sound with Day Wave tickets. The indie project from Oakland shook up the California music scene with their debut EP Headcase in 2015. Day Wave has since commanded stages across the United States, led by frontman Jackson Phillips. As an innovative presence on the scene, Phillips is primarily a solo artist who makes waves with a hip moniker and a hot sound. When touring as Day Wave, he plays shows with accompanying musicians. Philips is also trained as a jazz drummer, a skill he refined at the Berklee School of Music during his tenure there. His dream-pop concept for Day Wave gained traction early in his music career and resulted in the project opening for Blonde Redhead on their 2016 tour.
As a singer, Jackson Philips has recorded several self-penned tunes, experimenting with the piano and dropping projects like Day Wave's debut studio release, The Days We Had (2017) and in 2022, Pastlife. The latter album features ten tracks, including “See You When The End’s Near” featuring Kenny Hoopla and “Apartment Complex” featuring Australian artist, Hazel English.
