In 2001 at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, Professor Tim Frederikson began seriously coaching the boys on their musical abilities, and the Danish String Quartet was born. Later in 2008, after the passing of Tim Frederikson, the final member of the quartet joined Norwegian-born cellist Fredrik Sjölin. The friendship of the four has strengthened, and their music has become more mature and masterful over the years.
