He enjoyed performing in the school choir and by high school, his passion for music and the arts led him to concert bands. By age 15, Wesley formed The Dropouts. Not long after forming the group, an opportunity presented itself and he began fronting more mainstream bands, among them General Mayhem, Audiophile and Replica.
Wesley has also performed with his own Daniel Wesley Band where he recorded and released several successful albums including 2006’s Outlaw and 2007’s Driftin.’ Wesley self-released his third album Sing and Dance. The album received national acclaim and featured his commercially successful single, “Ooo Ohh.” According to rock and roll music critic Tom Harrison of The Province, “Sing and Dance has a prominent reggae element but there is also an unvarnished rock sound that sometimes recalls Neil Young.”
