The Artistic Director of Dance Kaleidoscope is David Hochoy, who was born in Trinidad, West Indies. He earned a Master of Arts in directing from Penn State. While in school at Penn State, Hochoy took his first dance class and has since made dance his life’s work.  He has been with Dance Kaleidoscope for more than thirty years.

He studied dancing under Keith Lee in Lynchburg, Va., before going on to study at the Virginia School of the Arts. His choreographies have been featured by Dance Kaleidoscope as well as the Phoenix Rising Dance Company, the Ballet Theatre of Indiana and Butler Ballet.

Featured shows include Dance Kaleidoscope’s twist on Romeo and Juliet with Star-Crossed Lovers. Another Dance Kaleidoscope production is collaborating with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra to create the production Music Moves, which will feature the music of Bernstein, Brahms, Handel and Kilar with choreography by David Hochoy.
