Born in Macon Georgia, Damon Rogers Johnson grew up in Monroeville Alabama growing interested in guitar at a young age. From forming a garage band in 8^th grade Johnson eventually joined Split the Dark in 1987. They had won an MTV competition but never secured a record deal. Johnson would hop from the bands’ Witness to Delta Rebels before finally joining Brother Cane where he would become the lead vocalist. There he would rise to fame with three albums on Virgin Records that resulted in three No. 1 rock radio singles (“And Fools Shine On,” “Got No Shame,” and “I Lie in the Bed I Make.”) 

Even after Brother Cane split in 1998 Damon Johnson tickets continued to draw fans as made stops in other bands while developing his craft. In 2004 Johnson joined Alice Cooper working on the album Dirty Diamonds and touring with the band mostly full time until 2011. From there Johnson became the guitarist of Thin Lizzy, one of his long-time inspirations. Johnson toured with Thin Lizzy continuing with the band as they spun off into Black Star Riders in respect to ex-frontman Phil Lynott. In 2014 Johnson performed his first solo show at The Iron Road in the UK. With multiple decades of rock ranging from hard and heavy to smooth acoustic seeing, Damon Johnson live has to be on the agenda.
