Brady Sklar is the lead vocalist and guitarist, Wesley Heaton is the bassist, and Dan Fetterolf plays everything else. While in college this trio became a sort of house band for Pablo Generation, a local makeshift venue, and their first two EPs, Daddy’s Beemer (2017) and Pucker (2019), were both class projects. After graduation, the band began touring around the United States, including big festivals like SXSW. They also started their own record label and recruited drummer Payton Kutyla to the band. In 2020, Daddy's Beemer released their first full-length studio album Denmark.
Daddy’s Beemer is firmly in the shoegaze genre, with a strong electronic influence. Tracks like “California” show off the band's buoyant lyrical side with its upbeat tones. While songs like “Come Around” demonstrate their romantic, melancholy side delving into lost love. “Amethyst” relives heavily on Fetterolf’s superb synth skills highlighting the band's versatility.
