He was a featured singer on Lover, The Lord Has Left Us, a 2006 album from the supergroup, The Sound of Animals Fighting. He worked with another supergroup, Isles & Glacier, on the EP The Hearts of Lonely People.
Craig Owens and a few members of Chiodos had a side project for a time called Cinematic Sunrise who released an EP A Coloring Storybook and Long Playing Record. During his time away from Chiodos he started a band called Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows who released an EP Live From Hot Topic and a studio album D.R.U.G.S., both in 2011. As of 2021, this band has reformed. Owens also released a grindcore EP in 2016 titled Empathy is a Gift as Beas5t. After Chiodos broke up, for a time he used the pseudonym badXchannels and released an EP Transmissions.
