It is staging a holiday-themed Christmas Pops concert, performing holiday favorites, classical Christmas hymns and popular carols. The performance is conducted by guest conductor Lawrence Loh and features organist Bradley Hunter Welch and the Dallas Symphony Children’s Chorus.
The concert dates back to 1900 when 40 musicians gathered to perform a concert, led by conductor Hans Kreissig. Antal Dorati was appointed Music Director in 1945. Under his leadership, the group became a professional orchestra.

DSO organist Bradley Hunter Welch is an in-demand recitalist, concert soloist and collaborative artist. He has a Doctorate of Arts from Yale University. He won first place in the Dallas International Organ Competition in 2003. The Dallas Symphony Children’s Chorus is a multi-tiered entity with six different ensembles with members ranging in age from eight to 18.
