De Mesones' bass playing has spanned many states and countries, from Hawaii to New York in his vast 40-year career. He is a graduate of the Musician’s Institute in Hollywood where he learned about music theory as well technical skills which have propelled him to play in many different musical groups throughout the decades. He has even opened for some of the most iconic musicians such as Roberta Flack, Chuck Brown and Marion Meadows to name just three. He has also played at some of the biggest festivals around the United States including the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Festival, the 2 Street Festival and the Lake Arbor Jazz Festival.
