Casablanca (1942) Tickets

Casablanca Screening Tickets

Watch one of Bogey’s classics with Casablanca tickets. The 1942 film Casablanca is a romantic drama starring Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman and Paul Henreid, directed by Michael Curtiz. The film, set during World War II, follows an American expatriate who must decide to help a Czech resistance leader escape from the city with his wife or be with the resistance leader’s wife.

The screenplay, written by Philip G. Epstein and his brother Julius, is based on the unproduced stage play Everybody Comes to Rick’s, penned by Murray Bennett and Joan Alison. Claude Rains, Peter Lorre, Dooley Wilson and Conrad Veidt all are supporting actors in the drama.

Although the film had a stellar cast and top-notch writers, the film was not expected to do well at the box office, as it was rushed into theaters after the invasion of the Allies into North Africa a few weeks prior. Its world premiere was on November 26, 1942, in New York City, and released nationally in January of 1943.

See one of America’s most beloved films with Casablanca tickets. The film would go on to win the Academy Award for Best Picture as well as Best Director for Curtiz and Best Adapted Screenplay for the Epstein Brothers. The movie has gone on to be ranked as one of the greatest films in history.
