They completed their lineup soon afterward to record an impressive demo that saw the band signed to Distort Entertainment in 2005. The following year they released their debut album Birthing the Giant, which met with rave reviews and led to tours alongside high-profile acts like Rise Against and Every Time I Die.
Cancer Bats released their sophomore album Hail Destroyer in 2008, which featured numerous guest appearances from a slew of notable punk and metal bands.
