The same year, she released her debut album, Retrato. She quickly became a staple within the New York jazz scene, working with musicians like trombone player Ryan Keberle and pianist Fabian Almazan. In 2016, the singer-songwriter signed to Sunnyside Records and released her album, Traces, where her multi-lingual vocals helped to win her two Independent Music Awards including  “Best Latin Song” for the song “Para Volar”. Meza released Ambar in 2019, featuring fan-favorite songs “Cucurrucucu Paloma” and “Kallfu”.
