Diouf was born in 1965 in Fatick and originally pursued a career in science through graduate studies in biology at Cheikh-Anta-Diop University. He then earned his doctorate in oceanography from the University of Quebec at Rimouski before teaching biology.
Diouf first developed comedy skits as a way of engaging his students, only considering a career in comedy once his students registered him for an audition at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. In 2005 Diouf won the Revelation of the Year Award at the Grand Rire de Quebec, then premiered his comedy special For a Reason X or Y.
The comedian also enjoys a successful career as a columnist and radio personality, contributing to La Fosse aux Lionnes, Kiwis and Men and hosting the La Nature According to Boucar program where he uses biology to understand human relationships. In 2011 he won the Grand Rire Festival’s Golden Nose Award for Exceptional Work.
