Enjoy a powerful performance with Blues Night tickets. The actress, blues singer and songwriter Dawn Tyler Watson was born in Manchester, England and migrated to Canada as a child with her family. She grew up in Southeastern Ontario and relocated to Montreal to attend Concordia University, where she studied jazz.
Watson began performing blues when she was asked to contribute to a local compilation album with blues artists in the area. She released her debut album, Ten Dollar Dress, in 2001 with her backup band The Dawn Tyler Blues Project. She was featured in the film Jack Paradise: Les Nuits de Montreal, portraying a jazz singer in 2004. She also contributed to the soundtrack of the film.

She has since gone back to being a soloist. Backed by a stellar seven-piece band, she released Jawbreaker in 2016 and then Mad Love in 2020.
She has gained a reputation for exciting shows and a commanding stage presence when she performs. Watson has won many awards for her singing, including multiple Maple Blues Awards and the 2020 Juno Award for Blues Album of the Year.
