John began his career as a DJ in 2015 when he debuted his first remix for "Death Ray Shake & Scribe & Savage – Not Many If Any." He released his first EP, Black Mamba/Koji, the following year.
In 2016, Blanke was taken on by the KLASH label to release his first single, "Immunity." The song was well-received by fans and helped him achieve the success and recognition that his music deserved. Blanke's second EP, Curiosity, debuted in 2017.
2018 was a massive year for Blanke. Blanke tickets began to see a higher demand after the release of his third EP, Sneaky Plans. That same year, Blanke released eight remixes and six hit singles. Many of his remixes were a collaboration between DJ Rezz and himself.
In 2019, Blanke release two more EPs, Alt. Colour // Voice In The Machine and Change & Decay and six new singles and three more remixes. In addition, Blanke collaborated with DJ Illenium on Illenium's new album track, "Gorgeous," and began touring with Illenium across North America.
Blanke debuted four more singles in 2021, including collaborations with Black Tiger Sex Machine and Nevve. He also released three new remixes, "Crooked Colours – I C Light," "Slander & Sad The Sky featuring JT Roach – Potions" and "Rynx Featuring Kiesza – All For You." 2021 saw the release of four more Blanke singles and one remix.
