The band consists of seven members: Georgia Ellery (violin), May Kershaw (keyboard), Lewis Evans (saxophone), Isaac Wood (vocals, guitar), Luke Mark (guitar), Tyler Hyde (bass) and Charlie Wayne (drums). They came together and formed Black Country, New Road in 2018.

Initially, they performed live shows and became known in the London Underground scene. In January 2019, they released their first single, “Athens, France,” and then their second single “Sunglasses” in July 2019, which gained them much acclaim and set them on a journey that has taken them across the world, touring fourteen countries.

The band has found their niche with experimental rock by leaving the traditional song formulas behind and building their own creations, using instrumental sounds and minimal lyrics that let you have a personal experience with each song and draw your own interpretations. Their music reflects our innate need to travel our own path within ourselves and gives us permission to do so.
