He began playing the guitar for Deep Blue Dream in 1987 before founding The Smashing Pumpkins in 1988. While Billy Corgan continued to perform with The Smashing Pumpkins, he continued to work on his solo albums. He released a limited vinyl album, AEGEA, in 2007. Billy Corgan debuted his third solo album, Ogilala, in 2017 and his fourth album, Cotillions, in 2019.
