Abduraimov started to take lessons at the age of five years old from his mother. He would go on to study with Tamara Popovich until he was 15. He then studied with the 2001 Van Cliburn International Gold medal winner, Stanislav Ioudenitch in Parkville, Missouri at the International Center for Music, or ICM, at Park University. He was named the ICM’s artist-in-residence in 2014.

Abdraimov has performed with many of the most prestigious symphonies in the world, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Mariinsky Orchestra, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also performed at many music festivals, such as the Vail Valley Music Festival and the Aspen Music Festival. He has collaborated with artists such as Vasily Petrenko, Valery Gergiev and James Gaffigan. His debut album was released in 2012.
