After supporting Cole on tour and headlining his own international tour with rapper Ab-Soul, Bas released his sophomore album, Too High to Riot, in 2016. It peaked at number 49 and received widespread critical acclaim. His third and highest-charting album, Milky Way, arrived in 2018, peaking at number 35. In 2020, he was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance for “Down Bad,” alongside J. Cole, J.I.D., EarthGang and Young Nudy.
