Ballet Project OC (BPOC) was created by professional dancer Ally Helman, originally as a way to showcase her own choreography and productions. Helman was an apprentice with the New York City Ballet, but when that opportunity came to an end, she created her own venture. After moving to Orange County, Calif., Helman launched BPOC with several dancers, sharing her work live on stage. In 2020, Helman also launched Ballet Project.TV as a way to provide live dance performances to audiences all around the globe. Audiences are able to stream live performances of not only Helman’s work but also the work of brilliant choreographers and dancers throughout the United States and beyond.
