She went on to study production at NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music.
Arca’s career began with the 2012 release of her EP Baron Libre, but the artist found serious attention after producing several songs on Kanye West’s album Yeezus the following year. She co-wrote the entirety of FKA Twigs’ EP2, as well as multiple songs on Bjork’s 2015 release Vulnicura. During this time Arca released her debut album Xen and second album Mutant. Arca signed with XL Recordings in 2017, through which she released her self-titled third album. It was her most critically acclaimed work thus far, earning the artist a handful of mentions in electronic music magazines.
