Now, the guitarist from that band, Martin Barre, backed by his band The Martin Barre Band, is on a world tour to celebrate its 50-year anniversary. Original drummer Clive Bunker is the special guest.
Aqualung was released by Chrysalis Records and explored themes of the difference between religion and God. It was the band’s most popular album and made them an in-demand international act. The album was the last recording performed by original Jethro Tull Drummer Bunker.

Barre joined the band, Jethro Tull after the two bands met performing at a blues club in Plymouth called the Van Dyke. Barre was invited to audition for the band and subsequently joined the band, his first recording with them being Stand Up.
Barre’s debut solo album was A Summer Band, in 1992. He has released multiple albums since then in a variety of styles and has been a guest performer for musicians such as Vikki Clayton, Maddy Prior and John Carter.
Bunker played with Jethro Tull from 1966 to 1971. After Tull, Bunker has functioned mainly as a session drummer, working with such acts as Robin Trower, Jude, Steve Howe and Manfred Mann’s Earth Band.
