His music genres include trance, hip-hop, progressive-house, dubstep and electro house.

Bayer was born in 1987 in Washington D.C. He studied piano as a child and graduated from the Berkeley College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts with a degree in music synthesis. He then formed the trance music duo Signalrunners with Scottish producer Alan Nimmo, releasing extended plays and remixes through Anjunadeep. As a solo artist, It’s Artificial, his first solo album was released in 2011 and is regarded as a multi-genre album.

Bayer is also part of the trio Artificial, along with producers Norin & Rad. The trio has released the singles “Stuck in Sa Calenta” and “Prototype.” He also produced the third studio album for Above & Beyond, called We Are All We Need. For the track “We’re All We Need,” Bayer was nominated for a 2015 Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.
