Eventually, she settled in New York and by 1997, she was ready to sing again. Her first solo album, Puntos Cardinales (Cardinal Points) was a new step in her personal expression as a woman, a departure from songs written from a masculine perspective. Torroja’s solo career reached new heights with the release of the album Pasajes de un Sueno (Passages of a Dream). In the years since, Torroja has collaborated with other artists and released more albums, spreading her sound across the world.
