He attended music when he was eight and graduated at just 14. Instead of pursuing the elusive career of a concert pianist, ARTY learned to use an FL Studio sequencer and attended Saratov State University to earn a degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. He burst onto the DJ scene in 2009 with the Vanilla Sky EP and was a hit with the other professional DJs. As Alpha 9, he released “Bliss” in 2009 and “Come Home” in 2010 for Flashover Recordings. Arty then put the Alpha 9 alias on hold until 2017.
Alpha 9 cites bands like The Crystal Method, The Chemical Brothers, and The Prodigy as major influences. While ARTY’s DJ and producing style is in the house/progressive house category, with some big room house and even pop influences, he uses Alpha 9 to create trance and tropical house tracks. Audiences can dance till they drop with Alpha 9 tickets. He released “The Night is Ours” and “Sunrise,” followed by the more melodic “Couldn’t Be Better” in 2018. He has been on the Top 100 DJ’s list five times, peaking at No. 25 and tours regularly under both his identities.
