By 2003 the band had modified its lineup and changed its name to A Wilhelm Scream, releasing their sophomore album Benefits of Thinking Out Loud in 2001. In 2005 they set off on their first series of European tours alongside high-profile punk groups like Less Than Jake and Lagwagon. Though early releases experimented with more mainstream styles, A Wilhelm Scream’s work has become increasingly fast-paced. They have developed a dedicated cult following for their high-speed yet musically sophisticated sensibility.
