Scott was sued by the Hidden Beach record label for leaving halfway through her six-album contract and for millions worth of damages. Scott has had her share of film and television appearances including the Showtime movie Cave Dwellers starring Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick. Her first film appearance occurred in 2007 when she played Big Mama Thorton in Tyler Perry’s movie, Why Did I Get Married? she has also appeared on multiple television shows on the VH1 network including Storytellers.
