Towards the end of 1997, Conley changed the four-piece name to Saves the Day. The band made their first release with Can’t Slow Down in 1998 with the help of Equal Vision Records as the members spent their afternoons in the high school cafeteria.
With a sound that has grown immensely over time Saves the Day tickets continue to be uniquely endearing. Saves the Day made a breakthrough release in 2001 Stay What You Are. The album marked a change in direction as they moved away from simple chord progressions to more intricate guitar work with poppier feeling undertones. Saves the Day has gone through many renditions with the current lineup of Arun Bali (lead guitar, backing vocals), Rodrigo Palm (bass) and Claudio Rivera (drums) backing up Conley since around 2009.
